If you do not hold a retail liquor license and are looking to develop and market a brand new, custom spirit, our private brand offering is for you.
What is a Private Brand Spirit?
“Private brand” spirits are completely custom spirits made specifically for those seeking to launch a new brand they own and can profit from. These spirits could be a new twist on an old classic or a radically different flavored spirit the market has yet to offer.
Because of the completely custom nature of private brand spirits, brand owners have even more control over the spirits we produce then private label customers do. These customers (brand owners) maintain complete control over every aspect of the product (proof, taste, marketing, packaging, distribution, etc.), while we serve simply as a formula developer, producer, and regulatory consultant.
Who Can Become a Brand Owner?
Almost anyone can become a brand owner, develop a new spirit, and start capitalizing on their marketing abilities. Some do not qualify, such as retail liquor license holders (retail liquor license holders seeking their own brand should look at our private label offering).
Brand owners must be able to understand the spirits market, find a niche or unfilled need, develop an interesting brand story from scratch, develop strong relationships with distributors, and market their brand aggressively. Creating a new brand of spirits is tough work, so new brand owners must be prepared for a thousand "no's" for every "yes" and an uphill battle the whole way.
However, if done successfully, the rewards can be great. Private brand owners completely own their brands, thus collect all the profit from each sale.
How Terressentia Can Help
We realize that creating a new spirit from nothing is a daunting task, so our staff works closely with each private brand customer to help them at every step of the process, enabling customers of all experience levels a chance to realize their full potential in the spirits market.
Unlike most producers, Terressentia does not require large minimum orders (our current minimum is about 2,000 cases for custom-developed products) or signing of long-term contracts. Because we develop each private brand spirit from scratch to exactly match our customers' desired flavor profile, there is an upfront development fee of roughly twenty thousand dollars. However, much of the work we do for brand owners is on a case by case basis, where fees and minimums may vary based on things such as your past brand building experience, current marketing plan, and distributor network.
We have substantial experience in the development of some of the most unique spirits you can think of, producing everything from local/regional favorites to spirits found only on the international market. Thanks to our unique technology, we can develop significantly higher quality flavored spirits than you will find elsewhere. If you can dream up a flavor profile, we can produce a spirit to match it.
