Private Label Timeline

Creating a line of spirits for your existing brand is a fun and exciting process. In order to maximize your experience, our staff provides a comprehensive private label solution, taking all the guesswork out of the process. After you have tasted and learned how our products can help your retail establishment, we take care of every step in this timeline as quickly as possible. The longest steps are typically label design decisions and regulatory approval of labels, but we average completing the entire process, from initial purchase decision to order fulfillment, in approximately 3 months–a very fast turnaround for this highly regulated industry. • Schedule a tasting

The only way to understand our technology is to participate in a private tasting of our spirits. We currently have representatives in California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington DC, and are opening up new states all the time. Tasting is the best way to understand just how great a difference our TerrePURE process makes, as well as experience the wide variety of both standard and flavored spirits we can create for you. • Enter into a Private Label Agreement

After you have experienced the difference our process makes via a tasting, the next step is to sign a simple agreement that gives us the non-exclusive right to create a label design subject to your approval. This agreement will make it clear that there are no upfront fees, no minimum order quantities or quotas, and which sets forth the guaranteed price per case of each spirit. • Determine initial product line

The next step is to determine which type of spirits you would like to offer. These include vodka, citrus vodka, white rum, spiced rum, bourbon, tequila, and gin.

  • Label Design

The next major step is to create a design for your new line of spirits. Our graphic design team will consult with you to create product labels using your existing marks, or create a new mark specifically for your spirit line. Whichever route you choose to take will depend on your specific needs and customer targets, but we will use our experience to assist you in determining the best way to connect with your customers.

  • Regulatory approvals

Once the basic elements of product and design are in place, we will submit your label for regulatory approval at both the federal and state level. The Alcohol Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) is the federal regulatory body of distilled spirits, and typically takes about 6 weeks to process a label approval request (called a “COLA”). States vary in their level of scrutiny, with some approving automatically and concurrently with the TTB, while others require an additional level of approval.

  • Product Delivery

By federal and state law, the alcohol industry is divided into three tiers (producers, distributors, and retailers), restricting sales and purchases among the levels. This means that a producer, such as Terressentia, can only sell to a distributor, who in turn sells to you, the retailer. After we have obtained regulatory approval for your spirits’ labels, we will arrange for a wholesale distributor in your state to begin honoring your purchase orders at the guaranteed price agreed upon in the Private Label Agreement.Ā Terressentia has established relationships with distributors across the country to ensure the smoothest possible experience in delivery of your new line of spirits.

  • Your Staff Training

Terressentia recognizes the value of frontline staff members understanding the products they are serving. As such, we develop an ongoing, personal relationship with you and visit your establishment to assist with the product launch. We do this through educating your staff about our technology, products, and history, ensuring your staff fully understands the real difference our TerrePURE process makes, and how that translates into a better customer experience.

The end result is a new line of premium, customized spirits for you that will not disappoint. Read more about our TerrePURE process to find out why.
